Challenge

Kari and Buck were dealing with aging siding and inefficient windows—but they didn’t just want to fix the problems. They wanted their home to make a statement. Beyond functionality, their goal was to design a mountain-style exterior that stood out while staying true to the natural landscape and their rustic aesthetic. The project required precision, creativity, and coordination to deliver a one-of-a-kind result on a challenging, winding foothills property.

The Solution

Our team partnered closely with the homeowners to bring their vision to life using Hover 3D renderings to preview materials and layout. We combined James Hardie lap siding in a rich espresso tone with Old Cherry Woodtone board and batten—a choice that preserved the look of natural wood while delivering the durability and low maintenance they needed.

We installed custom copper penny gutters and a board and batten-style porch ceiling to create a warm, handcrafted feel that blended perfectly with their existing stonework. Navigating the mountainous terrain and tight delivery access was a challenge, but careful planning and consistent communication helped keep the project on track from start to finish.
