Yes. All consultations and estimates are free.
A Homestead project guide will visit your home to discuss your concerns and evaluate the condition of your siding, windows, and doors. We’ll take photos and can create a 3D rendering of your home to help you visualize different exterior options. After the consultation, we’ll provide an estimate based on the project scope and answer any questions you have.
For siding, we install James Hardie, Woodtone, LP, TruWood, and other products depending on the project. For windows, we install Andersen and Pella. For doors, we install ProVia.
If you’re interested in a specific product or brand that isn’t listed, ask us about it.

Yes. Financing options are available. Your project guide can provide details based on your project.
In addition to applicable product and manufacturer warranties, Homestead Exteriors provides a lifetime workmanship warranty on siding installations.
If a legitimate installation-related issue arises, we’ll return and make it right. The workmanship warranty covers installation-related issues and does not cover normal wear and tear or cosmetic changes.
Siding FAQs
James Hardie siding is climate-engineered for Colorado conditions.
Fiber cement siding is a low-maintenance siding option.
Yes. We typically recommend replacing at least one full wall at a time. This allows us to identify underlying issues and make sure the wall is properly protected from top to bottom.
Siding can also be replaced in phases when a full-home replacement isn’t the right approach.
Common signs of siding wear include water damage, leaking around windows, warping, holes, cracking, and edge checking.
These issues don’t always mean you need to replace all of your siding. An inspection can help determine whether the affected area needs a repair, partial replacement, or more extensive replacement.
Siding Installation FAQs
Depending on the size of the home, siding installation can take anywhere from a few days to about a week.
Windows or other additional work can extend the project timeline.
We begin installation once the necessary materials are on hand to help keep the project moving efficiently and minimize disruptions.
Yes. We install siding year-round. Painting is temperature-sensitive, so weather conditions are considered when scheduling that portion of the project.
We can also install windows year-round, with scheduling adjusted when necessary for weather conditions.
No. You can remain in your home during installation. Siding replacement can be loud, but being home will not interfere with the installation process.
If we discover rot during the project, we’ll let you know immediately, explain the extent of the damage, and discuss the appropriate next steps before proceeding.
Siding Cost FAQs
Siding replacement costs vary depending on the size of the home, the siding product selected, and any additional work included in the project.
The main factors include the siding product, style, color, size of the home, and overall project scope. We’ll walk you through the available options so you can determine what best fits your needs and budget.
James Hardie FAQs
James Hardie siding does not need to be painted unless you select a primed product. It can also be custom painted if you want a specific color.
James Hardie can cost more upfront than some other siding products. However, its long-term durability and lower maintenance requirements can provide greater long-term value for homeowners.
James Hardie offers primed siding, the Statement Collection with 19 colors, and the Dream Collection with hundreds of color options.
James Hardie ColorPlus siding comes with a 30-year warranty.
No. Best practice is to remove the existing siding down to the sheathing. Housewrap is then installed before the new James Hardie siding is installed.
