Full James Hardie Exterior Replacement with Design-Focused Curb Appeal

Challenge

The original cedar siding had deteriorated significantly and was damaged by woodpeckers. In addition, the existing ThermoPLY sheathing was thin and failing, requiring full replacement during the project.

The team also had to work around an existing deck that the homeowners planned to remove in the future but were not yet ready to take down. This required careful planning to ensure the siding installation would allow for deck removal later without compromising the home’s exterior.

The Solution

Using Hover 3D, we helped the homeowners visualize a design-forward exterior that complemented their landscaping and natural views. The selected combination of Cobblestone board and batten, Monterey Taupe lap siding, and Arctic White trim created a layered look that elevated the home’s appearance.

All failing sheathing was replaced, and the full exterior—including soffit, fascia, and gutters—was upgraded as part of the project. The deck area was carefully sided to maintain flexibility for future removal while preserving a clean and finished appearance in the meantime.

The Results

The finished home now reflects the quality of its setting, with a design-forward exterior that complements the landscaping and green belt views. The new James Hardie siding, trim, and full cladding replacement provide both visual impact and long-term protection from pests and weather.
