- Products Used:
- James Hardie Lap Siding – Mountain Sage
- James Hardie Trim – Iron Gray
- Pella Impervia Windows – Brown
Challenge
Kip and Donna were facing multiple exterior issues: delaminating plywood siding, original drafty windows, and weather exposure that was slowly degrading their home’s structure. The remote mountain location also made access difficult, and to add complexity, we needed to coordinate our work with a separate contractor installing a new metal roof at the same time.
The Solution
We used Hover 3D modeling to map out the redesign and provide visual clarity on siding and window placement. Our team removed the deteriorating original siding and installed James Hardie lap siding in Mountain Sage, accented with Iron Gray trim for a clean, mountain-inspired look.
We replaced five windows with energy-efficient Pella Impervia units, solving the drafts and significantly improving the home’s energy performance. Despite challenging access and weather conditions, our crew worked in sync with the roofers to keep the timeline tight and the jobsite efficient.
Homeowner Priorities
This is the second project we’ve done with Homestead Exteriors, and the experience was exceptional again. The team was professional, prompt, and their workmanship was top-tier. We highly recommend Homestead for anyone looking to upgrade their home.
