Challenge
Sean’s top concern was durability. His home needed protection that could stand up to Colorado’s intense mountain climate. But he also wanted to modernize the look—bringing in fresh color, natural accents, and long-term performance without sacrificing curb appeal. After years of patching issues with the cedar, he was ready for a complete transformation.
The Solution
We began by creating a Hover 3D rendering, giving Sean a virtual preview of his new siding, trim, and stonework. Once approved, our team removed the failing cedar and uncovered widespread sheathing damage—something we had prepared Sean for during initial consultations. We replaced the OSB sheathing, improved insulation, and installed the durable, low-maintenance James Hardie siding in Mountain Sage.
To elevate the design, we added custom-painted Espresso trim and Versetta Stone on the chimney, creating visual contrast and texture. Despite working in the middle of winter, our team coordinated smoothly with another contractor handling window replacements, ensuring the project stayed on track.
Homeowner Priorities
Homestead Exteriors did an outstanding job. Even in the middle of winter, they kept everything moving and coordinated perfectly with the other contractors. Communication, craftsmanship, and professionalism were all top-notch.

The Results
Sean’s home now looks and performs like new. Structurally reinforced, visually refreshed, and insulated against the elements, the transformation is both beautiful and built to last.
